WHY CHOOSE OUR 3-PLY
ENGINEERED HARDWOOD FLOORS?
PREMIUM SOURCED WOOD
QUALITY ENGINEERING
STABILITY
VERSATILE INSTALLATION
Innovata Flooring's engineered 3-ply construction has been designed to provide greater floor stability versus multi-ply engineered wood flooring. Some manufacturers try to cut corners by using oriented strand board or fiberboard that may compromise the stability of the floor and, at the very least, will result in an inferior product. Our core and bottom layers are constructed from quality, solid Canadian Spruce.
Innovata engineered floors are also more versatile and stable than solid hardwood; as our floors are more resistant to high humidity and moisture; distinct from solid hardwood instability which is often moisture or heat related.
Under unfavorable conditions, solid hardwood floors can warp, swell, cup or split apart. Innovata's engineered hardwood flooring defeats these problems by constructing a triple-ply plank which counteracts twisting and remains flat and intact. This makes engineered flooring a better choice for installation over radiant heat sources, basements, over concrete whether its below grade or above.
To back that up, we offer a Lifetime Structural Warranty on all of our products.

EUROPEAN WHITE OAK*
*Our engineered floors are not to be confused with synthethic laminate flooring. This is the real deal.
We chose European White Oak for it's durability and undeniable beauty. It also lends itself particularly well to oil finishing and doesn't expand and contract to any great extent. Because the sap wood in European Oak is relatively thin, you can typically expect to find longer lengths and wider widths.
Homeowners are often intrigued as to the difference between European Oak and American Oak flooring.

WOOD TONE/COLOR
While the familial oaks are similar in tone, European Oak generally tends to be a littler darker with a warm golden, honey color whereas American Oak is subtly lighter with pinkish tones.
TONE VARIATIONS
As timber is a natural occurring composite, the tone varies from board to board (this is the beauty of a natural oak floor). European Oak has more even color tones than American Oak which can show greater differences between light and dark shades.
GRAIN PATTERN
European Oak has a slower growing cycle so it tends to have a distinctive wavy, tight grain pattern while American Oak has a straighter, grain pattern with larger growth ring characteristics.
it's all in the cut.
choose sawn face.

we'll tell you why
WHAT DOES SAWN FACE MEAN? Sawn face simply means the hardwood is sliced off the log, in desired thickness of plank. This method gives you the same beautiful character, grain and heartwood of traditional solid floors, while achieving a thicker veneer layer than our competitors. This also allows for wider widths and lengths.
so WHAT IS A ROTARY PEEL? The wood log is boiled and/or softened in a solution and then peeled off the outer layer of the tree using a rotary cut into a thinner veneer - IMAGINE PEELING BACK A ROLL OF TAPE. This is the same method used to make plywood and has the same repetitive grain pattern as plywood.
SAWN FACE and ROTARY PEEL produce significantly different characteristics in terms of aesthetics and quality, and we stand by the sawn face method.
Here's why:
-
Maintains the same look as solid hardwood flooring
-
The natural beauty of our European Oak grain is preserved
-
Each plank is unique, has variations yet holds uniformity
-
Less likely to show cracks and other imperfections
-
More stable - it doesn't expand and contract as rapidly
-
Thicker wear layer means you can sand and finish multiple times
can you sand and refinish
engineered wood floors?
absolutely.
When you choose Innovata to add value and beauty to your Home,
you are making an investment that will last you a lifetime.
ABOUT US
Most consumers will assume that solid hardwood flooring will last longer because it can be sanded and refinished. The good news is, Innovata Flooring's engineered wood flooring has a thick, 4mm sandable wear layer and can be refinished multiple times to extend the life of the floor significantly.
Over the years, your tastes will change, new trends will emerge or you may just want to restore normal aging. Our sandable wear layer allows you to affordably spruce up wear and tear or change the look of your floor completely without the costly purchase of a full floor replacement.
